I Am My Beloved's

To whoever is out there reading this, Hi :)

This post is mainly for those who are going through a hard time, but the truth of this will speak to everyone. I pray that as you read this you will open your heart more to Jesus today and that you will be encouraged and draw near to the One who satisfies.

Everyone has heard the phrase, "God loves you" and while that is absolutely 100% true, there is something else you need to know...

GOD REALLY LOVES YOU! :)

Sometimes when people say God loves you, it gets overlooked because God loves everyone and the word love is very over-used in our culture. We love everything: pizza, the delivery guy for bringing the pizza :), chocolate, sledding, our neighbors, the beach, and the list just goes on. Our love is mostly just a generic love- even with most of our friends. We've bought into an "I love everything and everyone" culture. We love the surface stuff about people but as soon as it passes that, and we start to see who people really are we become just too uncomfortable to go any deeper.

What we need to understand is that God's love is completely different than our love.

HE KNOWS OUR DEEPEST, DARKEST SECRETS, SINS, FEARS, BROKENNESS, AND OUR HURTS... AND HE STILL WOULD SAY THAT EACH OF US ARE HIS FAVORITE ONE!

(God gets the privilege of having many favorites, and He genuinely means it about each of us.)

He still desires you, even though He knows those things that you have chosen to keep hidden from Him and everyone else.

I want to share with you the secret to melting His beautiful heart... "He has allowed one arrow to successfully pierce His mighty heart- the weak glance of a lovesick heart." (Dana Candler, Deep Unto Deep)

You move His heart beloved! King Solomon puts words to this love that's in God's heart when he says, "You have ravished my heart, my sister, my bride, you have ravished my heart with a glance of your eyes... How beautiful is your love, my sister, my bride! How much better is your love than wine..." (Song of Solomon 4:9-10)

When our eyes look to Him, even out of the place of utter brokenness and turmoil, He is overcome by our single glance. He is a Bridegroom God and He loves it when His bride looks at Him and says, You are the One I want, no one else, just You.

He knows our frame, and our weakness and yet He still allows one single glance to move His heart. He draws near to us when we open our eyes to look at Him and declare that He alone is the solution to our longing, He alone is our desire.

Beloved, only He can fix your heart. So look at Him today, tomorrow and everytime you find yourself longing for a solution to your brokenness because He wants to be that solution, He wants to comfort you (Matthew 5:4). Let Him in today.
